End your pursuit of happiness.
Most likely Hollywood, magazines, talk shows etc. would not like this idea too much because it would ease back on viewership if people followed through with it, but I am actually going to say it again. End your pursuit of happiness.
Rather, begin to recognize that it is in our daily actions and growth all though life that we truly find accomplishment, and in the end of it all, deep and true happiness.
I’m not recommending that deep and true happiness isn’t a critical aspect in each of our lives – it would be ignorant to claim such a thing. What I am simply proposing is that possibly there is a different path we could take that will lead us to larger happiness all throughout our life. Perhaps we really should be targeting more about the development of our mind, body, and soul each and every day in small increments to guarantee that we are constantly growing and evolving in positive ways? This is going to be a very engaging alternate track to take rather than seeking something that we can never actually grasp onto.
If we are consistently growing, we feel that we are making progress in our lives and are thus happy with how things are going. However, aimlessly hunting for an emotion that can’t be gripped onto like every other emotion we experience seems a bit hopeless to start with. There needs to be an alternate way of doing things that will help us get more successful in life long term.
So what if you tried on this way of doing things for some time and allowed yourself to focus on development instead of happiness?
Who can say what might actually happen?
All I know is that accomplishment in life is connected to personal development and growth and that happiness isn’t far behind.
Food for thought.
