If sitting is the new smoking, then Millennials just might be on to something. For those born between 1980-2000, a daily commitment to exercising more, eating smarter and smoking less than previous generations is a top priority. And it’s no surprise that the first digital natives are using apps and online technology to track sleep data, seek out healthier food options and book a fitness class. Today, AARP made available another critical tool by expanding the availability of Staying Sharp, the non-profit’s premiere brain health platform, to all age groups.
Staying Sharp is a subscription-based, digital platform that promotes holistic brain health through free and premium recommended activities, brain-healthy recipes and games based upon the five brain health pillars: Move (keeping fit), Nourish (eating right), Relax (managing stress), Discover (learning more), and Connect (being social). It’s part of AARP’s overall investment in brain health.

Unique to the program is the scientifically backed Brain Health Assessment that answers the questions, “How well is my brain?” and “How am I performing against others my age?” Once a user takes the Brain Health Assessment, Staying Sharp curates recommended recipes, activities and articles based on the user’s individualized results allowing them to take a break from their hectic lives and play fun and engaging activities for the ultimate benefit of their brain health. Paid subscribers have the ability to review their results and/or access the other premium features.
